What is Astar Surge?

Astar Surge allows users holding ASTR and vASTR on Astar Mainnet L1 to participate in the initiative early, earning protocol points on eligible Soneium projects.

How to join Astar Surge

Step 1: Set up your Talisman wallet - https://app.talisman.xyz/portfolio

• Install the Talisman Substrate wallet.

• After installing your Talisman wallet, create a new Polkadot account. This will be the account where you transfer your ASTR tokens from Binance.

Step 2: Withdraw Astar from Binance/exchanges to your Native wallet (the polkadot address).

• Click "Receive" in your Polkadot wallet account to show your Astar wallet address.

• Search for "Astar" in your wallet, copy the generated address, and proceed to Binance.

• Go to Binance, input your wallet address and the amount of ASTR to withdraw. Click "Withdraw," and your ASTR tokens will be sent to your native wallet.

Step 3: Transfer your Astar from Native to EVM L1.

• Visit the Astar Portal at https://portal.astar.network/astar/assets and connect your Native Talisman wallet where you received your ASTR tokens.

• Click the "Send" button.

• Input your EVM wallet address, accept the warning, and confirm the transaction. Your ASTR tokens will now be sent to Astar EVM L1.

• Click on the wallet on the top right and connect your EVM wallet. You will now see the amount of Astar transferred over to Astar EVM L1.

Step 4: Participating in Astar Surge with Sake.

• Head to https://surge.sakefinance.com/

• Explore all deposit partners and click "Deposit Now" to visit their pre-deposit page for Astar Surge.

• The example below will showcase how to pre-deposit into Sake Finance.

1. Click on Deposit Now or head to https://deposit.sakefinance.com/ directly to start your deposit journey with us.

1. To start depositing, you can click on Stake to begin.

1. Input the amount of ASTR you would like to deposit and click on continue to approve the transaction.

1. Upon completion of the transaction, you will be notified. You will now be able to see the amount of ASTR staked on Sake Finance.

1. When clicking on the bridge button, you will be informed that the ASTR you staked can be bridged to Soneium once Soneium mainnet is live.

Congratulations you have successfully participated in the Astar Surge Campaign!

• Sit back relax and once Soneium Mainnet is live, you will be able to bridge Astar to Soneium to explore and use them across protocols on Soneium.
